After nearly 14 years of dedicated service and leadership, the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC), announces the retirement of MaryFrances McGarrity. Her contributions over that tenure have been immeasurable. She has served as a trusted advisor and passionate advocate for businesses, municipalities, investors, and community partners, helping shape the county’s continued growth and prosperity.
As Senior Vice President of Business Development and Expansion Services, MaryFrances has worked closely with growing companies to support their expansion plans and connect them with the resources necessary to succeed. She has also worked diligently on countless community revitalization projects throughout Chester County.
MaryFrances’ expertise in commercial, retail, and industrial real estate made her our trusted real estate expert. As the leader of our Redevelopment Committee, she championed numerous successful adaptive reuse and redevelopment projects, helping transform underutilized properties into productive assets. She also shared that expertise with municipalities across Chester County, supporting local economic development goals and fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors.
MaryFrances is a familiar face to many from her work leading CCEDC’s Investor Program. In that role, she was frequently the first point of contact for our investors and investor companies, connecting them with resources within and outside our organization. Notably, MaryFrances was the driving force behind our successful annual Stakeholders’ Breakfast and Economic Outlook events.
MaryFrances shared her time and expertise outside the organization by serving on numerous boards and collaborating on countless initiatives. She and her family have organized the annual Holy Redeemer Golf Klassic benefitting the Holy Redeemer Jersey Shore Food Pantry for more than 20 years; and she has served as a board member of ChescoNet and America250 Chester County.
Please join us in congratulating MaryFrances McGarrity on an extraordinary career and thanking her for nearly 14 years of outstanding service. We wish her good health and happiness in the next chapter of this adventure we call life.
